PROGRAM ARKEDA 2020

ARKEDA 2020 PRESENTA
THE NEW DIMENSIONS OF ARCHITECTURE

VI-dimensional architecture

I / II / III
THE SPACE DIMENSIONS

The first three dimensions define physical space and matter

IV
THE WEATHER

The fourth dimension defines the quality of space and matter and the relationships that exist between them

V
THE MEMORY

The fifth dimension is the essence of space and its social value for man, it represents the oikogenic value of architecture

WE
THE LIGHT

The sixth is a regulator of space, a dynamic engine of all other dimensions

Thanks to these dimensions we can read the space:
architecture determines dichotomies that are not opposed but complementary and related to each other:

  • Physical space and mental space
  • Private space and relational space
  • Geometric space and irrational space
  • Limited space and Unlimited space

All this allows us to read the materials that make up architecture and design with a new interpretation:

  1. Materials for physical spaces and materials for virtual spaces
  2. Materials for private spaces and materials for relationship spaces
  3. Materials for geometric spaces and materials for physical spaces
  4. Materials for limited spaces and materials for unlimited spaces

The Prologue will analyze these topics by presenting a series of interventions on the 4 possible readings of space.
With the formula of the laboratories conducted by 8 Tutors Arkeda 2020 will analyze this research in 4 interactive laboratories:

  • Laboratory one: traditional materials (stones, woods, metals) and technological materials (light, home automation)
  • Workshop two: materials for domestic spaces (furniture, kitchen) materials for common work and outdoor spaces (glass walls, furniture, office)
  • Laboratory three: materials for spaces for traditional use (beds, bathrooms) and for unconventional spaces (spa, coworking, hospitality)
  • Workshop four: materials for small spaces (casket, fixtures, furnishings) and materials for large sizes (contract products, synthetic materials and stoneware)

A series of prestigious exhibitions and other thematic conferences will complete the Arkeda three-day program
